Local cuisine

Our restaurant kitchen team prepares dishes based on recipes crafted by Rene, Frech Master Chef, Founder, and Owner of Chalets Cote Mer. Our menu features carefully crafted dishes showcasing local flavours, textures, and ingredients. Come enjoy a memorable Creole dining experience in our waterfront restaurant.

Locally sourced food

Our tropical garden provides fresh local fruits and spices. All plants are hand-grown with care by Bernadette. For anything the garden doesn’t offer, our local farmer Terry provides. Our fisherman, Louange, catches the best fish even under difficult, and sometimes challenging conditions during the monsoon season – no problem for him. Thanks to our reliable and dedicated suppliers, guests can enjoy the freshest and most delicious local produce during their stay.

Waterfront access

Our hotel provides easy access to the waterfront, allowing guests to fully experience the beauty of the marine life in crystal-clear waters. Use our snorkeling equipment for free.

Reception

Our friendly reception team is available to assist you around the clock. We can help organize excursions, car rentals, hikes, and tours and provide insight and information on the must-do’s of Praslin.

Tropical Garden

The lush, vibrant and colourful tropical garden was created by Bernadette our founder and owner. The garden attracts a variety of birds of paradise that are known for their striking colours and unique plumage, making them a popular attraction for nature lovers and birdwatchers alike.

A Family Love Story.

You’ll find a place that was built out of love – one true romance as a foundation.

OUR BEGINNING

Back in the times there was no running water, no electricity or gas, We learned to live and enjoy a simple life. Our family lived from what land and ocean had to offer.

Our passion

This is our heritage, our passion and our love story – for each other, for the place our family built and for the island and ocean that allows us to live our dream, that we love to share with you.

OUR LEGACY

“The Yellow House” where our family lived since 1965, was built in 1936 and had a grocery shop on the ground floor that belonged to the “Moosa brothers”.
